About the Opportunity
The position purpose of the café & RESTAURANT Manager is to oversee the overall operations and management of the food and beverage operations. The Manager is responsible for ensuring that the restaurant operates efficiently, provides high-quality products and services, and meets the expectations of customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor daily operations of a cafe, restaurant including table service, bar operations, kitchen efficiency, and cleanliness
- Menu development in collaboration with Head Chef and align with café & restaurant concept to optimize profitability
- Perform related service duties as required throughout service periods
- Complete Manager daily administration duties including Manages and supervises staff, including hiring, training and performance evaluation
- Oversees the preparation and presentation of food and beverages to ensure quality and customer satisfaction
- Monitors inventory levels and orders supplies as needed
- Manages budgets and financial transactions, including cash handling and reporting
- Ensures compliance with health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards
- Collaborates with suppliers and vendors to negotiate contracts and ensure timely delivery of goods and services
Skills/Experience Required
At least one year of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications
Preferred AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2)
